Transparency & control in post
Use the Render Pass feature to automatically set up a transparent pass. This allows you to make adjustments and even add backgrounds in your favorite post-processing apps (like After Effects, DaVinci, or Photoshop).
Follow the steps on the addon to prepare your render. If there are no warnings, it's ready to go.
The default values are pegged against the default Blender HDRI strengths.
Your lighting and materials have a far greater impact on the look of the glare than the glare settings itself.

Auto-activate in new files, off by default. Toggling Glare keeps nodes placed before or after it. Fixes a Blender 5.3 render crash, a compositor loop while the scene is idle, and the compositing toggle being forced back on.

The effect shows live in the viewport. And also on your renders.
Yes, one account is enough. The free Portal handles sign-in, so you sign in once and Glare works from Blender after that.
Glare targets Blender 5.0 and later. Older hosts are not the current build.

Such a game changer! It manages to bring life to your renders so easily and without having to set crazy values and extra nodes.
