What Formware collects for accounts, Formware tools, and checkout, and how you can opt out where a tool offers a telemetry switch.
Who this covers
This policy describes how Formware handles personal data for formware.app, Formware accounts, and Formware tools. It is written for the live products, not as legal advice.
Contact: support@formware.app
Account and site data
When you sign in we store your email, a display name, and optional Google profile details such as a photo and locale. Onboarding can store an avatar, country, creative roles, how you work, where you heard about us, whether we may email you about work opportunities, and whether you want tool-update, new-tool, or newsletter mail.
We also store entitlements, device seats, support tickets, email preferences, and transactional mail such as purchase or seat notices. Seat records do not store raw IP addresses, geolocation, or device fingerprints.
Payments
Lemon Squeezy is the merchant of record for site checkout. Lemon, Gumroad, and Superhive process cards and wallets for the sales they handle. Formware does not store card numbers.
Lemon’s privacy policy: https://www.lemonsqueezy.com/privacy — Gumroad’s privacy policy: https://gumroad.com/privacy. Superhive publishes its own privacy policy on the Superhive site.
Tool and website analytics
Some Formware tools send usage events to Formware. Those events can include feature names, outcomes, errors, environment versions, and coarse locale or country estimates. The public website records page views, sanitized link/CTA clicks, referrer hosts, and country from the hosting provider. They are used to run and improve the product. Events are stored in Formware’s Supabase database. We do not store raw IP addresses or GPS.
Where a tool offers a telemetry switch, you can turn that off in its preferences. Opting out does not remove the need for the tool to reach formware.app for login, licenses, and updates. Website analytics does not use a persistent visitor cookie. “Hide mine” on the admin analytics dashboard is an internal filter for Formware’s own usage. It is not a customer privacy control.
Processors
We use Supabase for authentication and the database, Vercel to host the site, Resend to send transactional and optional product email, Google for optional sign-in, and Lemon Squeezy, Gumroad, or Superhive for payments. Lemon also sends checkout receipts and abandoned-cart reminders for site checkout.
Retention, access, and deletion
We keep account, purchase, and support records for as long as the account and any related entitlement or tax record need to exist. We do not sell personal data.
To access or delete your account data, email support@formware.app or use the Support page. Some payment records stay with Lemon, Gumroad, or Superhive because they are the merchant of that sale.
VectorPush telemetry
VectorPush can send usage events as described above. You can turn that off in VectorPush Preferences. The panel still contacts formware.app for login, licenses, and updates.
Glare
Glare uses your Formware account to unlock a marketplace purchase and to deliver updates. It does not add a separate telemetry switch on this page. Account, purchase, and update records follow the sections above.
Formware Blender Portal
The portal sends your sign-in to Formware and uses the computer name as the device name so a release can be installed. The session is stored outside the blend file. It does not include the contents of your scenes.
