Updates
Formware tools include lifetime free updates for the product you purchased, while Formware maintains that product. You get those builds from the tool, from Account, or from another download method Formware provides.
Lifetime free updates
If an update is released for a tool you purchased, you can download and use it at no extra cost. “Lifetime” refers to the lifetime of the original product while Formware maintains it.
Lifetime free updates do not guarantee that updates will be created or released. They are available while you hold a valid license that has not been refunded or revoked.
How updates reach you
The tool can check formware.app for a newer build, download it, and launch the installer. You can also open Account and use Downloads, or download from the product page while you are signed in with access.
Formware may change how builds are delivered over time. A previous store listing or installer path may not stay available forever.
Beta updates
Beta builds reach people who enable Beta updates in the tool’s Account hub. With that toggle off, you stay on the latest stable build.
Stable is the default. Turn Beta on when you want the newest experimental installer, and turn it off when you want the release everyone else is on.
Compatibility and new products
Lifetime free updates do not guarantee lifetime compatibility with every future operating-system or host-application release. Formware may ship a fix when a host app change breaks a tool, and may also decide a given version is outside the product we maintain.
If a tool is later split, merged, forked, or followed by a related tool, that new product is a separate purchase. It is not included automatically under the original lifetime updates.
